Glimpse

Sleep, eyes wide open,
Wondering, thinking, dreaming away,
Persistent with delight, Pondering Life.

Pressuring the mind to evolve,
Yet Stumbling, Trying to Understand,
Growth within, Emotions Flurry,

Shaking tradition, Moving Forward,
Life unfolds, Generating Wealth,
Pockets Empty, Hearts Swell,

Pulsing Pleasure, Sensations Last,
Until the night does pass, Then to Memories,
Forever entwined, A Smile on the faces.

Self Deposition

Time flies when you’re having fun, so here’s a post! Missed a few days that I intended on posting, my bad. :O Enjoy!

Self Deposition

Jason’s eyes blinked in an odd repetition of nervousness. He did not want to believe he was where he was. Those simple little words would stick in his mind for the rest of his life; “…is guilty.” He screamed. He had only hit the man twice. He didn’t mean to kill him.

The air around him was cold, and the steel bench he sat on began to make him ache. Jason looked around the room, still blinking, as he clenched his hands. Sweat made his fingers slide across his palms with ease, making it harder to for the inch-long, serrated edges of his nails to dig in. His veins began to surge from the tightness in his forearms. Head Sprung

Oh, what a night and a day. I went to bed right on time and was ready to sleep, but unfortunately, my dogs lost their minds and would not leave me alone all night long. I don’t think I got any sleep at all barely and I still have no idea what was wrong with them. They were acting very odd and as if they were scared of something, but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out what. All i know is that they wanted my attention and refused to just lay down and sleep until about 7am this morning.

I am fortunate that my job allows me to sleep in a little longer than most people’s does on some days, so that could have worked to my advantage, but today my loving, beautiful, sweet girlfriend decided to wake me up an hour earlier than I was planning, so there went the little extra sleep. It’s okay, if I am going to be woken up early, I would prefer that it be from her. At least she puts a smile on my face. Of course, I thought it was an emergency at first, (more…)

It Came, Then The Rest Followed

Finally, after quite a little dry spell a story came to my mind and was completed within the same day. I cannot even begin to explain how good it felt to write again. It’s been far too long and I must admit, I was concerned in my ability to write a work of fiction anymore. (I write a ton of real life stuff, letters, opinions, etc., but not much fiction as of late.)

I did it though. It was just as I remembered, my mind racing with ideas, my fingers banging against the keyboard as words formed to describe what I was imagining in my head. The ideas coming together faster than I could type, changing as the story progressed until I had a final ending. It felt good. Really good. I won’t go as far as saying it was better than sex, but it was quite fulfilling, like seeing an old friend you haven’t spoke with in ages and catching up.

It was certainly a part of me that had been missing for far too long. It had been years before now since I had finished a story. I have started a number of them, some I hope to continue to work on, others forever lost. One such story I began a few years ago and slowly was working on, but that was before I had my own laptop. I had to use my parents, as they generously lent it to me, until they needed it for playing movies for the nieces and nephews on a trip downstate. (more…)

The Destruction in Haiti

As most people know, Haiti was hit by an earthquake which completely devastated the country. People are struggling to live, over 50,000 people died and the country is basically in ruins. Now is the time where people of all cultures should come together to help those in need. I received an email asking for my donation from former Vice President Al Gore’s non-profit organization, Repower America, so I figure I would recommend donating through Oxfam America too. Here is what they have to say about the situation and about donating:

“A major earthquake has struck Haiti’s capital city of Port-Au-Prince. It is a catastrophe of major proportions. Multiple buildings have collapsed, including a hospital, a hotel, and the UN building.

Oxfam has over three decades of experience in Haiti, and we have rushed in teams from around the region to respond to the situation where our assistance is most needed. We are providing clean water, shelter and sanitation and helping people recover – your donation will go immediately to the most critical needs in Haiti, and we will ensure that every penny is used wisely.”

Magnetized Emotions

A short Story I wrote quite awhile ago. I am not sure if I have ever posted this one before, but I thought I would start putting some of my writing out there for people to read again. Here it is:

Magnetized Emotions

They stared into each others eyes, and their souls danced for a moment. A smile sparked between them just as they turned and realized it could never be. A spacious gap between the two will only last so long as their feelings continue to splash against the cork of the bottle of flirtation…Sadly, it is true…it can never be.

One must now drown themselves in sinking emotion of likeness, tampered by the thought of love…a continuous stream of rampant thoughts, that are nothing more than that; thoughts. Sitting, gazing in wonder, one must tell themselves it will be okay, yet counter their own mind by saying otherwise. Such things may never end…which leads to the endless thoughts of life and when will their souls touch once more…but…. (more…)

Work, Life, and That Other Thing Called Writing

I had a pretty busy day, kind of. I had a conference call in the morning for work as usual, but from there I had to head over to a meeting with Brian, a friendly guy that went to Copenhagen for the climate negotiations. We discussed what he had seen there and additional plans for the local area and how to move forward with clean energy here in Northern Michigan. There’s a lot of options, but of course, it won’t be easy to achieve. There are companies out there that spend millions upon millions of dollars to ensure that it doesn’t happen.

Hopefully, with a lot of hard work it will happen. We’ll know soon enough and then we can go from there I suppose. I had actually intended on working on some writing and the fun stuff, but unfortunately, got caught up in some work, so I decided to just write a blog post instead.

The Blog

I am working on getting the blog reconfigured, so it is possible that the site may look completely different from time to time as I adjust settings and themes to fit what I am looking for. I’m looking for plugins, widgets, etc, to make it more lively, so that everyone can connect with my site more easily and so that I can can with you!

Hopefully, I will have this sorted out relatively soon so that the focus can be more on everything else.

I’m looking forward to sharing my writing and my life with everyone again, so I hope you will enjoy it as well.

There Within

Twisting thoughts, inside my head
Laying wake, while in bed

Sinking feelings to touch the sand
Unsure of where I may land

Pure of Heart, in love for sure
Wishing to be close to her

A flower blooms with delight
While her eyes reflect the sunlight

A smile – deepened with a touch
Emotions saying so much

To kiss, a feeling  –such joy
Hearts mended; not toys

But do break, if not careful
Be gentle.
