Relax

Oh, what a great weekend it was. I got to actually relax for once. I even got to spend some time with my nieces and nephews, who are, at times, just a great bunch of kids, but of course, they are sometimes a pain in the butt too. :) Generally speaking they are all pretty good though.

Of course, we had Valentine’s Day this weekend, so I hope it went well for everyone. Mine was enjoyable, I got to spend some time chatting with the most amazing woman in my life, Meagan. See my previous post, “Waking From The Dream” to get a better idea of just how great she is! We’re a very long distance relationship, well, multiple states away, which is less than countries, I suppose, but still. Anyway, So I was thrilled to have time with her and enjoyed the time and conversation we had together very much.

The Olympics are on, so I had to watch those of course. I am a Huge, huge, huge, huge speed skating fan. I used to race  when I was younger, so I remember exactly how it is, the pressure, the intense competition, the sharp turns, trying to pass or not be passed to win the race. It’s thrilling, really, and watching our champions compete is quite an enjoyable experience for me. Those were the days, I’ll tell you what!

I’ve put on more than a few pounds since then, but I am back into working out, slowly but surely. It’s pretty difficult to do once you’ve let yourself go for awhile. I think it was mainly because over the last few years I’ve done very intense and stressful work in politics, so when the campaigns ended, I just sat there, exhausted, trying to recoup and fell into that laziness. So, I would recommend, anyone who is busy busy with life, find a way to keep exercise in the mix, you don’t want to turn into a tubby like me. :)

I also have an upcoming guest blog post that I wrote, which will be coming up soon. I will write more about it once it is posted.

Last but not least, I am working with my editor to get my book, Molecular Splendor in order. Of course, both of our schedules have to come together first, but it sounds like sometime next week will work well for the both of us, so it will finally be on its way. It’s exciting, it’s enthralling, amazing and terrifying. I guess we’ll see how that goes. :)

Great guy! We don’t mind competition from him. :)

lol it was in reference to the comment I left on his/her blog. She was talking about the Olympics so I said I was rooting for someone who was competing against his/her country. :)

  4. i’m typically bouncing all over the internet nearly all of the afternoon hence I usually tend to read substantially, which is not usually a beneficial matter as the majority of the web sites I visit are constructed of pointless waste copied from many other internet websites a trillion times, but I gotta give you props this webpage is honestly not bad at all and also features a lot of authentic material, for that reason many thanks for smashing the trends of just simply duplicating other folks’ sites, in case you ever want to play a few hands of facebook poker together let me know – you have my email address :)
